Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

PRP also known as the ‘Angel Lift” or “vampire face lift” uses your own blood to facilitate skin rejuvenation.

This is a fantastic natural therapy and we have introduced cutting edge technology at Medivive.
Your blood is drawn and fed through the latest innovation in platelet concentration-the Angel PRP system. Compared to other systems this produces the most concentrated and ideal platelet mix and so affording better, longer lasting results. The PRP is then injected into the treatment area.

The growth factors released from the concentrated platelets activate resident stem cells and dormant skin cells. This stimulates new production and epithelial cell growth resulting in a dramatic improvement in skin health and appearance. Because your own plasma is used, there is no danger of disease transmission or allergic reaction.

There may be some minor discomfort during the procedure mainly due to the slight acidity of the PRP. There may be some redness, slight swelling and possible mild bruising following the treatment. These are all temporary and will resolve over a few days.

Your skin texture will respond as new tissue cells grow and visible results may take 3-6 weeks and continue for up to 6 months. Results will depend upon your overall health status, age, dietary variations, whether you smoke and other health factors including your unique skin type.
Follow up treatments may be necessary at 4-6 week intervals.

This treatment can be used in conjunction with anti wrinkle injections & treatment fillers as well as the Pelleve skin tightening procedure and laser/IPL treatments. Dr Patel will discuss the best combination that suits your needs. This procedure will take approximately 45-60 minutes in total depending on the area/areas that are being treated.
